2023 WA Softball Annual Awards Night

On Friday night, Softball WA hosted the Annual Awards Night for 2023.

During the evening, we recognised the outstanding volunteers in our sport for their efforts and achievements over the last 12 months. We inducted a new Life Member in Debra Selth, and a new Hall of Fame inductee in Aaron Cockman, along with a host of individual awards to the communities and people who make our game great here in WA. It was a pleasure to have our sponsors, Healthway, QBit, Snap Fitness, and Bat Cave in attendance on the evening, along with our Board Members Tiffany Allen, Natalie Swinbourn, and Karen Sullivan. and of course our Life Members, Shirley Schneider, Evelyn Harvey, Lorraine Malcom, Kevin Osbourne, Kathryn Wylie and Laurie Prior. 

The Award Night began with the recognition of our newest Life Member, Debra Selth, and the commitment she has made to the sport in WA over the last 27 years.

We then moved to the Community Awards, and the winners are as follows;

Roma Mackenzie Regional Volunteer of the Year - PATRICE LEE (Dalyellup Diamonds)

Dave Cosson Official of the Year - CHRIS MCCABE (WBC Wildcats)

Affiliated Association of the Year - BUNBURY & DISTRICTS SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION

 

After a break for dinner, we awarded individual achievements for each of our State Teams, crowning the Best Batter and Most Valuable Player for each team,
