2026 BatCave Junior Softball Championship Wrap Up
Published Thu 12 Mar 2026
Over the March longweek, SWA hosted our annual Junior Softball Championship that was proudly sponsored by BatCave. What a success!
With 16 teams spanning from Geraldton, Rockingham, Bunbury, and Perth Metro, over 3 days, there was nothing short of great softball game-play and competative spirits. With Round Robins in the U16 and U18 Boys/Girls championship, and a Best-Out-Of-Three in the U14 Boys/Girls championship, there was amazing atmosphere watching the kids play in the beautiful weather that was that weekend. Alas, there can only be one champion...
🔴 U14 Girls > Thornlie Hawks
🔵 U14 Boys > Bunbury
🔴 U16 Girls > Thornlie Hawks
🟢 U16 Boys > Vikings
🟡 U18 Girls > Fremantle Rebels
🟠U18 Boys > Batavia Blaze
Huge congratulations to all the teams that won, as well as teams (such as Woodland Wolves) that fought hard all weekend along side them.
After each Round Robin game, MVP points were awarded by Umpires for the overall Tournament MVPs.
🔴 U14 Girls > Charlee Lundstrom (TH)
🔵 U14 Boys > Bryce McAdam (BADSA)
🔴 U16 Girls > Jayde Turner (TH)
🟢 U16 Boys > Jack Owens (VK)
⚪ U18 Girls > Kelsie Hinchliffe (WW)
🟡 U18 Boys > Jacob Seaman (FR)
Great effort from these individuals and special congratulations for their particularly well-played weekend.
That finally wraps up the end of the 2026 BatCave Junior Softball Championship. Look out for next year's Team Nominations - can't wait to see everyone out on the field again soon.
Special thanks to some of the businesses that helped us out over the weekend:
> the BatCave | for sponsoring the event and being there everyday with heaps of equipment made avaliable for purchase
> Perk Up With Me | for providing fresh coffee and drinks for the entire weekend!
> St John Ambulance | being avaliable on our grounds for medical assistance, and making sure everyone was safe
> Coolroom Hire WA | providing, delivering, and picking up a freezer and ice for the weekend (that thankfully didn't end up being too hot)
