With the announcement of the postponement of Australian Master’s Games Softball WA would like to inform our members of some more information surrounding the decision.
Softball WA and UniSport Australia have had discussions surrounding the 2021 AMG during the evolving Covid-19 situation unfolding in Australia. Softball WA has been working with UniSport on contingency plans for the 2021 AMG to still occur in October with teams that could travel into WA quarantine free. We were informed on Monday of the potential postponement of AMG to April 2022.
Softball WA has worked tirelessly over the past year to deliver AMG in October. We will continue to provide updates on the new April dates and information in the future.
Softball WA is currently gauging expressions of interest for competitors of a Masters Softball Tournament during the same week in October. If a representative of each team could fill out the EOI ASAP (by Sunday) for Softball WA to evaluate if we are able to run this event.
